Employees Mark Years of Service to INB Customers

Renee, now a deposit operations officer, started at the former INB in 1977 in the accounting and investment department, where she worked for more than 20 years through several mergers before leaving in 1999.
“I started at INB with wires, cash management, correspondent banking and investment opportunities,” she recalls. “There were so many good people and friends that it felt like the right thing to do to come back in 2006 and work in wires again. Life really is a circle!”
Renee is now celebrating her 10-year service anniversary with INB in the third quarter of 2016, along with Lisa Pasley, loan serving specialist; Aimee Craft, assistant branch manager in Riverton; and John Bretz, bank courier. Wendy Henton, mortgage division coordinator at the Wabash branch, is commemorating 15 years at INB, while Todd Newton, vice president of portfolio management, is celebrating five years.
“This is great place to be; the culture is incredible, being involved in the bank’s growth is professionally rewarding, and I’m blessed to have such wonderful colleagues,” Todd said.
Amiee echoed Todd’s sentiments about the encouraging culture cultivated at INB.
“I love that INB does so much to show that they care for and appreciate their employees – the quarterly parties, appreciation days, family events and the service award luncheon are just a few that come to mind,” Amiee said. She likes that she can call the CEO, a leadership team member or a vice president if she has concerns or questions, and they would be happy to help. “And,” Amiee added “my boss, Dee Anderson, will do whatever she can to make sure that I am able to attend events that my children are involved in.”
In Wendy’s 15 years, she has appreciated the constant opportunities to grow personally and professionally — as well as the opportunity to play a role in the bank’s tremendous growth over the years.
“I started out in 2001 as a teller in our downtown drive-thru, and since that time, I have worked in many areas of the bank,” Wendy said. “Because of all the areas I have been able to work in, I feel like I have gained a lot of knowledge about banking and life in general.”
“INB has also had a lot of growth during my time here!” she added. “When I started working here, there was no North or South branch in Springfield, or many of the outlying branches. We have grown into the bank we are now, with a lot of great employees.”
For courier John Bretz, the flexibility and positive work environment drew him to INB.
“It’s upbeat and everybody seems content in what they’re doing,” he said. “I have had some really good bosses. The people is what I enjoy most; I get to work with really great people every week.”
The personal touch of INB’s customer service ranks high within the bank’s reputation in the Central Illinois community, and Renee said she feels proud to be a part of that.
“I have made good customer contacts, and I like what I do for INB — working in wires makes each day different,” she said. “You never know what the next call will bring: surprises, challenges, even sometimes aggravations, but it is very seldom the same day twice.”
